Cut out love

Both of my besties have their birthdays in June. Being all of our twenty first birthdays, it quite an important stage in life and I've been planning to create something more special, and that they can keep for long. I've been cracking up my head, browsing through pinterest daily for ideas ...

Finally decided with making a little poster with qualities and words that I always link with them.
First typed and designed whole poster in Photoshop and printed them on cardstock, flipped so that the lines won't show on the final project. Pasted it on the wonder tape and cut each letter out individually. Becareful when you stick the cardstock on the wonder tape! Think well on which side will be the sticky side on the cardstock, the side facing down which to attach to the final piece of coloured cardstock. I did not think through well the first item I did them and wasted a whole sheet of wonder tape.

If you did not want to use wonder tape, you can simply cut the letters out when attach with your good old adhesives. I just wanted to skip the hassle of gluing individual and was afraid that there will be sides not glued well and start flicking over the years later.

Moustache birthday

Haven there been a Moustache trend around? I have been wondering how it got started on actually. Anyways, it was my father's birthday shortly after Father's day ...

 I'd decided to make a 'single side card', more like a tag actually. It was brought up due to an incident due the father's day celebration when the family realises that our dear daddy only looks at the front cover of the card & keeps it back to the envelope. So we started complaining on why make a full card when he only looks at the front. But oh well, daddy can't be blamed at caused our content are more or less the same every single year. He could have already memorised it. I still did write a message on the back of the tag this time, & he actually flipped at read!

I first did a cutout of the heart on the pattern paper. Depending on the size of it, cut strips of papers and glue them to the kraft cardstock. Its a good way to use up your scrap pieces of papers here. Put the heart-cut piece of paper on dimensional foam, fill up the rest with alphabet stickers (yes, my letter Y is weird, & I've shifted it down after taking the weird looking photo). The moustache was actually from a promotion card given out in a restaurant for Father's day lunch. Another good way to use materials available around you isn't it? 

Oh yea, my mom actually asked me what does the rulers below represent? Really, I don't know? Just used any pattern paper that I felt like. Mom always loves to ask these kinds of questions when I made something. Everything happens for a reason. ha.

Babies brings joy to Life

My first nephew was born! Cute charming little one who makes everyone laugh whenever we look at him. I was actually quite 'uninspired' that day when I was creating the card. Probably because I was very determined to use the Cakewalk Stickers by October Afternoon, since I bought them with intension for the baby. Or because I wanted the card to be as tiny as possible. I wonder where inspirations had gone these days ... oh well ...
Side note, the Cakewalk Collection is also a beautiful collection to own for parties and celebrations, with a little of vintage element.

Daddy who bought us home

First up, a card for Father's day!
As usual, different occasions calls for different types of cards. I hit down to the scrapbooking store at the very last minutes as the original pack of 6X6 pad that I bought for making the Father's day card did not inspired me enough. Did all kinds of mix-and-match, hopefully to bring out a story?

Daddy who bought us home & gave us car-ride whenever we need (& hopefully own more cars and bigger house to live)


Got the Union Square paper that I have been eyeing for ages, but need not know what to do with it & now here's the chance to 'officially' buy it. The Authentique Petite Type Square stickers were also a great by. Crafters like me, who keeps wanting the new products at stores and fell in love with the different kinds of letter stickers, get this! One inexpensive small sheet & it satisfies your needs ...

Updates!

Good day crafters!

Here I am back from a long hiatus! There has been lots of changes in life for the past months and more to come when I make a move over to the Kingdom (aka UK).
Ups and downs over the time, having more realization of life ... da da da ...
